SCHEDULED EVENTS

The DEPARTMENT OF TALO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING will take place on January 20-22, 2012 in Houston, TX. All members are invited to attend. If you are interested, contact Houston Commander James McClain at yaakovjim@gmail.com

The NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING will be in Washington, DC on March 6 - 10, 2012. Representatives of all JWV Departments and Posts are invited to attend. TALO Department Commander Jerry Benjamin and TALO NEC Representative Mike London will attend. They plan to visit Senators and Representatives of the four states in our department - Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Last year, Jerry and Mike visited offices of all the newly- elected representatives from our four states. They presented information regarding the concerns and recommendations of the JWV national organization.

The 117th NATIONAL CONVENTION will be held on August 4 - 12, 2012 in Norfolk, VA.

COMMANDER'S CORNER

Our Department is getting together for a CRUISE on the CARNIVAL "MAGIC" on April 22 - 29, 2012. Please contact me, Jerry Benjamin, to check on the details.

Jacksonville, FL: (Annual JWV Convention) - Allen Falk was elected National Commander for 2011-2012 at our 116th Annual Convention in Jacksonville. Allen has previously served for several years as the National Adjutant and he had quite a number of difficult cases in JWV that intensified his knowledge of the inner workings of JWV on the Department and National levels. The NATIONAL CONVENTION will take place on August 4 - 12, 2012 in Norfolk, VA. All members are eligible to attend.
